The cool darkness embraces me
And kisses the sleepy creatures good night
The drowsy hum for crickets
Melting the frosty crisp air
I, adrift in the sleepy waves
Beneath the hushed skies
My dreams afloat high up above
Hugging the tranquil clouds
The chill twilight breeze
Runs its soothing fingers through my hair
The burbling stream trickling down the creek
Washing over shiny pebbles buried in earth
Eyes twinkling in sparkle beyond
Soaking in the starry wonders
The little sparks of silent beauty
Whispering worldly secrets in my ears
And wink in a glimmer of trickery
The sweet melody of the nightingale
Echoes through the chill air
And gently drops me back to the waters
While I leaped and soared in the heavenly heights
While I drowned in the bliss of twilight
The moon, fresh and white
Like a dewy daffodil at twilight
Flashing a dazzling smile on the waters
The bliss of the peaceful hours enveloped in darkness.
