The Shades of Four

Gently kisses the fragrant breeze The heavy scent of dewy blossoms The sons of Nature yawn and stretch, drowsily And wake and unfurl from their spell of deep slumber To the lingering hum of spring glory The warm rays mature and grow bolder And life gushes through the veins of Nature While the birds bathe in the golden Sun The cool sun-kissed waters dribble through the creek The mango blossoms now hang heavy with juicy pulp The heavenly drops of nectar Quench the thirst of the parched earth The chill breeze laced with subtle petrichor Drops of blessings of Nature Finally arrives the dry chill frost The lifeless branches withered and barren Slipping through its final minutes In the freezing grave of snow and ice.

The first shower

I sit beside my window My eyes gazing at the clouds up above Dark and heavy as Earth Ah, and the fresh smell of parched earth Laced with the subtle scent of petrichor Awakens the playful child within I reach my arm out And feel tiny droplets hugging my skin The moisture oozing in To quench the thirst of the parched soil Droplets of pure blessings and joy The cool breeze caresses my cheek And ruffles my hair playfully Dragging along dark heavy clouds A cool blanket to snuggle in The sweet scent of mango blossoms Adds a pinch of delight to the air Every drop echoes a ripple Leaving a legacy of its own I sprint across the moist meadow My feet sloshing in the dewy grass I twirl like a dewy petal In pure happiness and bliss While the heavens pour their grudges And watch the thirsty saplings Greedily gulp down mouthfuls And their hearts gladden The drops of blessings of nature. As I gaze at the grieving skies A tiny droplet trickles down my cheek And the ...

A faint flicker of life

In the dead chilling silence of twilight Several feet pacing the corridor In anticipation and excitement Waiting for the moment with bated breath As a shimmering drop of sweat Trickles down his temples. As he yearns to touch his child, A piercing cry fills the air While the world rejoiced her arrival A sparkling crystal of joy and new life A tiny throbbing heart Spreading love and joy A sacred yet unique drop of water In the flowing ocean of life A fresh chapter in the book of Life With blank pages to be filled With laughter, tears, frowns and smiles There she is, To write new chapters of joy In the lives of people close Look at her, with Crayons in her hand To wash colour over the world with Vibrant curvy strokes, like her smile That paints a rainbow on the sky To illuminate even the darkest of days. The flowing ink of the pen That writes her days, chapter by chapter Her presence and her aura. As he watched her, Eyes welled up with love, The tender...

Take me away....

There he is Yama sitting next to me Gently whispering the words That my marathon is over. Time for me to leave To leave my worries behind That once seemed humongous And feasted on my peace and happiness The staggering heights that once astonished me Are now nothing more than a speck under my foot Peeking through the clouds From the heavenly heights To leave my loved ones behind To leave a footprint on the sand of time To leave a legacy To leave my name echoing through the hills Desperately did I long to Hold on to that last second While time slipped through my fingers Like grains of sand trickling down the glass walls Never to touch my fingers again My final seconds ticking away As the hands of the clock Crawl towards the very last minute My eyes well up in agony Tears roll down my cheek As a fresh wave of pain washes over me Those times I had missed joy Those moments I chopped relationships off In these wrinkled times of mine How I yearn they were...

I find myself in.......

Letting my emotions loose. I feel the pressure building up in me The flow of emotion bundled up My mind a dam itself, tries to hold it still While it threatens to crack open When I find myself at the brink of all control My soul and mind at war Perplexed in a situation As black and white as can be My heart decides to let it loose And watch the tears stream down And carry the anxiety and troubles along with it While I learn to accept That it is okay to let loose of yourself To let the volcano erupt someday For no being can remain one Without any emotion For one without any is no more than A lifeless form of skin and bones. Denying the very lifelines that make us human Could leave a lasting imprint on the human soul Very much like the feathery clouds high up above The burden of little water drops Might seem like a trivial matter Not when they weigh heavily on the clouds Those tiny drops of water Cannot remain there for eternity For it has to someday Or...
